Helps improve picture on HDTV Oct 23, 2009 I bought the Monster component cable for Wii at Target for $26 and I did notice that there is now a wider color range, colors are not oversaturated or muddy as before. A lot of the jagged black lines are gone. I know that its not HD, but it is a lot closer to HD than before.
I played Super Smash Bros Brawl and the graphics are sharper with a wider color range. Muramasa and a Boy and His Blob NEED the component cable just because of the amount of colors on the screen.
I had been playing these games for a few weeks so I noticed a difference. But yeah there are a few people who don't notice. This could be because they were playing on small screens to begin with -- but I'm playing on a 46" Sony Bravia so I noticed a difference in resolution.
ALSO, I did notice that the sound improved. I wasn't sure if it was the cable, but according to the Amazon description, the cable helps improve the sound too.

Monster is overpriced, but.... Apr 07, 2009 Ok if you notice in ANY Monster cable review, people will always say "I've been ripped off!! Get the $2 cable, it does the same thing!!" Monster doesn't claim that this cable is going to do your laundry and clean your house. But here's a fact, you will NOT find a higher QUALITY cable. So it says it has "heavy-duty double shielding and a gas-injected dielectric for optimum signal integrity" This is not a false claim !?? It IS heavy duty, It IS heavily shielded (shielding makes a difference in analog cables people) What else... "SingleHelix construction for added rejection of interference, enhancing the realism of your game audio" See the part that says rejection of interference??? This is what most cheap cables have!!! Interference!! It's not BS!! (if we're talking about Monster's HDMI cables, they are all BS..)
Bottom line: Get good quality analog cables. Always.

Wii Moster Cable Apr 01, 2009 All of my cables are Monster because they are awesome and have good quality. The only thing I dont like about these cables is the funky splitter that takes it from one big cable down to 5. I can't stand cable clutter and it makes it difficult to wrap this cable in with my others. Overall still a good product.

What to expect from monster cable! Mar 19, 2009 These are high quality cables that were not much more than lesser brands. So why not go w/ the best? The picture quality between 480i through RCA and 480p through components is huge! Make sure you set your Wii to output 480p when you connect these cables!

Target $26 Cable is NOT the same cable as this one. Mar 01, 2009 I have noticed a few people saying they bought the same cable for around $26 at Target. The fact is, Target does have a 8-ft Monster Cable for $26, but that is not what Amazon is selling here. I actually bought the one at Target, and the Amazon version (also sold at Best Buy) looks to be built better and higher quality. Note: I said "looks".
Now for performance, it didn't provide any better picture than the Rocketfish cable I bought off eBay for $7 (Best Buy retail $28). Component cable picture is a lot sharper, but it comes with its own problem - hard edges around the letters or objects. I am not sure at this point if I want to go back to stock Wii A/V cable.
