Excellent thermometer but too expensive. Aug 01, 2009
As a HVAC Technician the thermometer is one of my most used tools. I use it every day to take temperature readings of pools, temperature splits from the supply and returns of HVAC system, temperature readings of evaporators, food temperatures in refrigerators/freezers, etc. This thermometer is accurate and fast, I couldn't be happier with it's performance. The only shortcoming of this thermometer is the temperature range, sometimes we work with deep frier's and the oil temp is well above the 300* Fahrenheit limit of this thermometer but we rarely work on them so I can overlook this flaw. However I think it's way over-priced, with shipping it was $28. This thing only weighs a few ounces but according to the shipping company it's a pound, even with the shipping material it doesn't weigh that much. I think Amazon should have given me free shipping considering how light it was and the product itself should only cost $12-$14. This is why I gave the product 4 out of 5 stars.
