Quiet and Cool for $175 AR can't beat it with a stick May 26, 2008 The card is a huge improvement over my 7900GT. Its much quieter than the prior video card. Its long and wide. For $175 AR its hard to beat it.

Great card for the price Apr 30, 2008 I'm running this card in a DELL workstation running dual Xeon 3.4 GHz processors with 4 GB RAM and thee eSATA hard drives. The computer itself is lightning fast and the video card has taken the computer to the next level. I can run Crysis and very high resolutions with smooth frame rates. I couldn't do that before with my old 512 MB video card. Even though this card doesn't add any more RAM, it does have a faster processor and chipset.
Interestingly, I dual-boot this workstation with Windows Vista, Windows XP and Linux. In Windows Vista, this card took up the graphics rating (in the performance index) by 8/10 of a point. For the performance gain I've received, I expected the number to jump by a bit more. However, I'm very satisfied.

Big and powerful Jan 08, 2008 This card is very fast. It's nice to be able to play virtually all games at max settings in 1920x1200 resolution. Upgraded from a 8400GS, noticed a big difference in performance.
Read some comments about the card running hot, but so far mine hasn't gone above the mid 60s. The card is pretty pricey, it was a lot more expensive than the 8400GS. I was hoping to get a 8800GT, but that was either out of stock or even more overpriced.
This card is also very long and bulky. Barely had enough room to connect the PCI-E pin. It also effectively took up 3 slots, had to take the sound card out and move it down to the last slot. Overall, I am satisfied, since now I can play a lot of the games I couldn't before.
