5Plug and Play as Promised!  Nov 13, 2009
Best option for getting your musical instrument into GarageBand. High quality. Gets the job done. For Mac'ers, just plug into your sound input and open GarageBand. But first sure you have Line-In selected in your Sound Preferences after you plug your instrument into this adapter. That's it!

Cheaper and IMHO the highest quality solution vs. cheaper products or the all-in-one instrument cable and adapter by Griffin.

Tons of info on the Web about getting this up and working. Just Google it.

    5Works great!  Aug 06, 2009
Works right out of the box, just plug it into the computer- as long as you plug it through a pedal or other power source (the product doesn't tell you that it's needed). Once it's plugged in, it works like a charm and sounds good on the computer.

    5Records fine  Dec 07, 2007
It's small and reliable and that's all i really need. It's cheap enough considering it has lasted me a couple of years and i've never had a problem. If you have garageband it's a great way to gain access to all the effects if your amp is old school like mine.

5it is what it is  Jan 11, 2007
this is a simple little gadget, it does every thing it promises. but it has a bit of hum, which can get quite irritating. if you're serious about computer recording, you should save money and just buy an ADA converter, it will give a much cleaner signal.

    1Guitar-to-Mac connector  Mar 22, 2006
This cable works as advertised. However, it is very expensive. I found another connector that went directly from the 1/4-inch mono guitar cable to the 1/8-in stereo input required by a Macintosh. This connector was all one piece and so was without the 6-in or so cable between; but it was significantly less expensive.
