Coolmax Power Supply meets my needs, sort of Sep 14, 2009
Power supply has a huge fan on top for quiet cooling. I put this in an Antec series 300 case. The power supply in this mid tower is on the bottom! Most mainboards have their CPU power socket so that when in the case it is near the top. The cable of this Power Supply will NOT reach. I've ordered an extension but was annoyed when I found that every other cable was very adequate and the CPU power cable (P4) was too short. The Molex connectors are easy to grip and allow you to remove them from components easily. The 2 SATA plugs fit well with no problem. My unit has a chrome finish. It appears like it is well constructed with no sharp corners. Overall it's a good value.

Not so quiet and only lasted 6 months Sep 23, 2008
On the good side, it was a little quieter than the basic power supply my HP computer came with, but not as quiet as I was hoping for, especially for triple the price of a basic one.

Also its cooling fan died after 6 months of use, making it basically useless, even though it continued to supply power to the computer. I found its fan failed when my computer overheated and I looked inside and saw it wasn't spinning.
