 Antec: Stable Product Nov 20, 2009
So far my Antec has worked perfectly since purchasing it. I bought mine to place an external hard drive in, whose old casing died from a burnt out fuse or something electric. It works at moderate speeds by USB, and has not crashed. It does not overheat, and has quite a sleek black design. Again since I have no problems with it, I would recommend it, and it is affordable.

The first impression of this enclosure is that is it really durable. The case is so hard that can withstand anything. However, putting the hard drive in and plugging all the things in could get you tired. The AC adapter is pretty big to me. If you leave it on for too long, it does get a bit warm, but not hot. The USB cable is long enough for it to connect to the back of my computer and up to my desk. Overall it is a great product.
 Unit Not Found In My Computer In VISTA Nov 15, 2009
While this unit is easy to set up, it shows up for the party in MY COMPUTER in VISTA occasionally, then disappears. While this may be an operating system error and not indicative of a fault with the unit, IT SURE IS FRUSTRATING. The backup software fails so nothing gets backed up which was my intent on buying the unit. No indicator lights on the front of the unit.

Ease of installation and use is a breeze. Absolutely no problems. Recovered data from my crashed Windows XP desktop. One drive is a WD 500G and the other is a Seagate Barracuda 7200-160 G. HDs placed in enclosure in a few minutes ....XP system recognized with no problem. Black case is hot ...only very minor negative is the stupid looking power plug.

Not as advertised Oct 31, 2009
This product only runs on windows 98, I am running vista and windows 7, did damage to both computers I tried on,
still have no sound on one, worked on them both for hours and hours.....Downloads from the manfacturer do not work, and you cannot contact t hem. Driver detective could not correct, went to manf again for downloads. So sorry I was really hoping it would work, as I have a hdd, I need to open.
