Good inexpensive enclosure with limitations Jun 16, 2006 Good inexpensive IDE enclosure, which is easy to install and preforms read / write operations faster then expected. However, note that you CAN NOT format or partition the drive in the external enclosure. I also tried installing a CD ROM drive in the enclosure, which Windows (Win2K) recognizes, but will NOT read.
